Hi! My name is Shea (aka bungeshea) and I am a teenage Web developer. I specialise in WordPress, PHP, HTML5, jQuery and CSS (often in the form of LESS).
My journey in Web design began back in 2010, when I was creating a website to host my family’s Christmas letters. At that time I knew nothing of WordPress, PHP or MySQL; just a basic knowlage of HTML 4.01 and CSS 2.1 through tutorials at W3Schools.
I discovered WordPress through a ‘Powered by WordPress’ link on a site using the Twenty Ten theme. Even after a breif look around the WordPress.org website, I still had no idea of how to use it. At the time I was using a very basic web host called FreeWebs, who didn’t even support FTP, much less PHP and MySQL.
After finding a more advanced host, my journey really began. My first few sites type of failed due to dodgy free web hosts. After temporarily moving to WordPress.com and Blogger, I started creating self-hosted WordPress websites again, but this time with more fiance. (And less dodgy themes, plugins and Web hosts!)
I’ve come a long way since 2010, and now I am developing my own WordPress plugins and editing themes. WordPress is my one true passion and joy. I also really love coding in PHP, as I do other C-like languages (but PHP is my favorite). Eventually, I hope to contribute to the WordPress Core; that’s when the real fun will begin.
Most of my time nowadays is spent actively developing my Code Snippets plugin and maintaining my websites. I also an an active participant of WordPress Stack Exchange, helping people out, answering questions.
